Q: Where are you located?

A: TechKnowledge is located in the Eastlawn Plaza at 973 South Saginaw Road, Midland, Michigan 48640. Our plaza is on the northeast corner behind the Walgreens and CVS pharmacies. We are next door to Cricket Mobile and Golden Buffet Restaurant.


Q: What kind of guarantee is offered with a Repair service?

A: All labor performed for repair or data service is 100% guaranteed for 30 days. If something doesn’t look right or you have a question on our repair, bring it back to us within 30 days and we will make it right free of charge!


Q: What is your return policy on parts?

A: All sales are final for any new or used computer and equipment. New PCs have a standard 1 year manufacture warranty, while used computers have a 30 day parts only guarantee. Parts installed with a repair service have a 30 day guarantee for exchange.


Q: Do I have to make an appointment?

A: No appointment is needed for general repairs. Stop in to our store location any time that`s best for you during normal business hours (Mon-Fri, 9 am-5:30 pm). Onsite visits, computer training, and most remote help-desk sessions DO require an appointment. For scheduling, call (989) 832-4101 to make an appointment.


Q: Do you sell new or used computer parts?

A: We carry a variety of new computer parts and accessories. We carry items such as new SATA cables, hard drives, power supplies, A/C adapters, data drives, keyboards, mice, new and used laptops and desktops.

We do not carry model specific parts such as processor chips or motherboards. We custom order items such as this. If we order out for a part, it takes approximately 2-4 business days for your part arrive.


Q: Do you fix cell phones?

A: No, we no longer fix or support cell phones.


Q: Can you offer me money for my old, used electronics?

A: Yes! In many cases we offer cash in hand for the sale of used computers, monitors and equipment. We will require a valid ID for these transactions.


Q: Why won`t my computer start or turn on?

A: It is hard to say. In many instances you should check your wall outlet, power cables and power adapters. A restart may be needed. We offer a full Diagnostic Service to help you with your non-starting devices. Diagnostics take 1-3 business days to complete.


Q: How much does it cost to fix my computer?

A: Cost is ENTIRELY dependent on what is wrong with your computer. Our minimum labor charge for any drop off service is $50. Depending on which service you require, will depend on the final cost. Things like additional labor, parts, and software charges may apply. However with any repair service, we will carefully review and explain all charges with you, so there will be no surprise costs with the repair of your device.


Q: Do you offer Windows 10 training or other computer courses?

A: Yes! Recently added, we now offer personalized 1-on-1 sessions. Each session lasts 1 hour. Cost to book is $50 per session. Currently we offer sessions: “Windows 1o for beginners” and “Macbook 101”. Call (989) 832-4101 to schedule an appointment.


Q: I will be out of state or moving soon, can you still support me?

A: Absolutely! We offer a variety of services to help our out of state customers! We offer things such as remote help-desk and managed services. Call us today at (989) 832-4101 for your specific needs and questions.


Q: Do you fix gaming consoles, TVs, VCR’s, receivers, radios, ipods or printers?

A: No, we typically do not fix or repair these items. We primarily support hardware repair services for laptops, desktops, tablets, servers and security cameras.
